As a solo founder you can't spend a week on launches. But you can get listed on 15+ directories in 7 days if you prepare once and submit in batches. Here's the system.

Prepare these once (Day 1)

  • App name + 60-char tagline + 160-char meta description
  • 2–3 sentence description (reusable across directories)
  • Logo: 512px PNG on transparent + SVG
  • 2 screenshots (1280×800)
  • Category, pricing model, founder email, support URL
  • A /press or /about page URL

With these in a text file, each submission takes 3–5 minutes.

The 7-day launch plan

  1. Day 1: AppGeoList (instant), Uneed, IndiePa.ge — the fast, free ones.
  2. Day 2: FutureTools, ToolPilot, Dang.ai — AI-focused if relevant.
  3. Day 3: AlternativeTo (claim your listing), StackShare.
  4. Day 4: Trustpilot (set up review collection), G2/Capterra (if B2B).
  5. Day 5: Yo.directory, Sprout24, SaasWorthy.
  6. Day 6: Reddit (relevant subs), IndieHackers, X launch thread.
  7. Day 7: Track everything in a spreadsheet; note which sent traffic.
Don't batch-submit on one day. Staggering gives each directory a fresh "new" signal and lets you measure which converts — so you can double down on the winners.

Submission email template (for reviewed sites)

Hi [editor], I'm [name], founder of [app]. It's a [one-line description] for [audience]. We just launched and I thought your readers might find it useful: [URL]. Happy to provide screenshots, a demo, or an exclusive. Thanks for considering! — [name]

After the 7 days

Check analytics weekly for a month. The directories that sent converting traffic get your attention: update screenshots, collect reviews there, and link to those listings from your own site (reciprocal relevance). Browse the full directory to find more niche sites in your category.
