Editors and journalists won't chase you for assets. A complete press kit at /press means the difference between a feature and a pass. Here's the 2026 essential list.

The must-have assets

  • Logo pack: SVG + PNG (512px and 1024px), on transparent, plus a reversed (white) version for dark backgrounds.
  • App icon: 1024px square PNG (matches store icon).
  • Screenshots: 3–5 at 1280×800 (or 2732×2048 for tablet), showing the core action, a settings view, and a "wow" moment.
  • Demo video: 30–90 seconds, no narration required; hosted on YouTube/Vimeo with an embeddable link and an MP4 download.
  • Boilerplate: 100-word "what is [app]" paragraph journalists can paste.
  • Founder bio + headshot: 50-word bio + 800px headshot (square).
  • Fact sheet: founding date, team size, funding stage, key metrics, pricing, platforms.

Structure your /press page

  1. One-line tagline at the top.
  2. Download-all ZIP button (logos + screenshots).
  3. Embed the demo video.
  4. Boilerplate + fact sheet as copyable text.
  5. Contact email + founder socials.
  6. "As featured on" logos if you have any.
Make it copy-pasteable: journalists are on deadline. If your boilerplate, fact sheet and image URLs are ready to paste into an article, you get featured. If they have to email you, you don't. Submit to AppGeoList with your /press URL in the listing — editors check it.

Common gaps

  • No dark-mode logo (most blogs have dark footers).
  • Screenshots with placeholder text or personal data.
  • Video only on YouTube with no download (editors need raw files).
  • No fact sheet (forces a back-and-forth email).

Build the kit once, host it at /press, and link it from every directory listing. It's the highest-leverage hour you'll spend on growth.
